This  bracelet with lion heads ( originaly a scythian motive that came from Persia) were probably worn only by chiefs in early times; gradually these lion heads have been replaced by "makhara" then by dragon ones (chinese influence).The heavy  ones were considered as investment ( often  for the wedding celebration).Very nice patina...
